Our journey started on a quiet West Village street called Carmine. Without any business experience, any real plan, or anything resembling a thought beyond getting through the day, our founding brothers (Dave and Pete) opened a restaurant. What they lacked in experience they made up for with spirit and creativity. That legacy endures even as The Grey Dog had become an iconic NYC spot.

Came for breakfast. Luckily beat the crowds. The service was good and the restaurant itself is nice. The food was okay. We ordered a hash with chorizo and it was just okay. Nothing crazy...

Highly recommend making a reservation because it was so packed! I arrived earlier than my friend and we weren't seated until she came. She was late though but they were able to seat us immediately...
