Stephanie Cherestal, PhD

She is double board certified in General Psychiatry and Geriatric Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She has an interest in Psychotic disorders and mood disorders in the Geriatric Population. Dr. Awatramani received her medical degree from the Medical University of the Americas and trained at Louisiana State University Shreveport, where she served as Chief Resident of Education as a third year resident and Administrative Chief Resident as a Fourth year. She then went on to complete a fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry at the NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester Behavioral Health Center, Cornell University. Dr Awatramani also remains active in teaching medical students, psychiatry residents and geriatric psychiatry fellows. She is an active participant in the American Psychiatric Association and received the Resident Recognition Award for Excellence in Family Oriented Care at the Annual APA meeting (2015). She has received a Scholar's Award during Residency for outstanding performance in Academics. Dr Awatramani was the Chair Person and organizer for the first Mental Health Awareness Walk in Shreveport, Louisiana(2014) to promote the awareness of mental health in the community.

Dr. Shira Ritholtz completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at New York University and earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from St. Johns University, where she received research and clinical training in evidence-based interventions for children, adolescents, and adults. Her clinical and research training had a particular emphasis on childhood post-traumatic stress and anxiety disorders.Dr. Ritholtz completed her clinical internship training at Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS). She has trained in multiple settings including inpatient and outpatient facilities. She has advanced training and experience in multiple treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure/Response Prevention, SPACE, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Parent Management Training. Dr. Ritholtz completed a post-doctoral fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital, where she specialized in cognitive behavioral therapy for children, adolescents, and young adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Currently, Dr. Ritholtz is an Assistant Professor of Psychology in Clinical Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medicine and an Assistant Attending Psychologist at New York Presbyterian Hospital Westchester Behavioral Health Center. She serves as a clinician and supervisor of inpatient and outpatient psychotherapy.

Dr. Arielle Casasnovas completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology at the University of Delaware and earned both her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University, where she received research and clinical training in evidence-based interventions for children, adolescents, and adults. Her clinical training had a particular emphasis on childhood anxiety and mood disorders.Dr. Casasnovas completed her clinical internship training at Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS). She has trained in in a variety of settings, including academic medical centers, community mental health clinics, public high schools, and a clinic specialized in the treatment of anxiety, obsessive-compulsive, and related disorders. She has advanced training and experience in multiple treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Parent Management Training. Dr. Casasnovas completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester Behavioral Health Center/ Weill Cornell Medicine, where she is now an Assistant Professor of Psychology in Clinical Psychiatry and an Assistant Attending Psychologist. She serves as a clinician and supervisor of inpatient and outpatient psychotherapy.
