If you want a do it yourself funeral, this is the place for you ! The service was subpar at best. They didn't have a box or bag to take our pictures and artifacts back home and we schlepped...

Francis W. Fisk Funeral Home was founded in 1925 by Francis Wayland Fisk who was born in Clayville N.Y, the son of the late Effie Hopkins and Francis W. Fisk. He was a graduate of Simmons School of embalming and was associated with the Warren H. Fisk Funeral Home in Chadwicks. Mr. Fisk was a member of the The Clonan Post, American Legion, The Sauquoit Masonic Lodge and served for 17 years on the Chadwicks Board of Education. In 1942 he established the Francis W. Fisk Funeral Home and operated it until his death in 1969. After Mr. Fisk's death, Frank Rogenka, the son of the late Joseph and Catherine Urbanik purchased the Fisk Funeral Home. He attended the American Academy of F.S and in 1949 received his funeral directors license. He married the former Sylvia Gurkin and later established the Rogenka Funeral Chapel and faithfully provided caring service to the community. In May of 2003, John L. Matt Jr. was hired as manager upon the death of Frank Rogenka. Mr. Matt is a 1974 graduate of New Hartford High School and a 1976 graduate Simmons School of Embalming and Mortuary Science. He served his residency with the Miller Funeral Homes in Rochester, New York. Receiving his Funeral Directors license in 1977. For many years he was associated with the Matt Funeral Home in Utica which was established by his grandfather in 1914 and operated by his father John L. Matt Sr. and is presently operated by his brother Anthony F. Matt. John L. Matt Jr. continues to follow in the same tradition. This tradition involves making funeral services the most affordable to your family and the guarantee of quality and compassionate service. On March 18, 2010 John L. Matt Jr. changed the name to John L. Matt Funeral Home
