Rutika J Mehta, M.B., B.S., MD, MPH

Dr. Kisss training began in New York City where he received his undergraduate degree with honors from Columbia College and medical school training at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons. He then moved to Boston to complete his ophthalmology residency and surgical vitreoretinal fellowship, both at Harvard Medical School and the Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary. At Harvard, Dr. Kiss was select by the faculty to serve as the Chief Retina Fellow. Dr. Kiss was then recruited back to New York City to join the vitreoretinal faculty at Weill Cornell Medical College and assume the role of Director of Clinical Research in the Department of Ophthalmology.Dr. Kiss's clinical interests include complex vitreoretinal surgery and treatment of age?related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. His clinical and translational research focuses on four broad areas: retinal imaging, ocular gene therapy, novel therapeutic targets for ocular neovascularization, and genetic markers for retinal diseases. Dr. Kiss has participated as a principal investigator in over two-dozen prospective clinical trials and laboratory investigations. He has authored over 200 scientific publications, given over 100 invited lectureships worldwide, and serves on the Editorial Board and as a Scientific Reviewer to a number of major journals. Dr. Kiss has won numerous academic and scientific awards including the Heed Ophthalmic Foundation Fellowship, the Ronald G. Michels Foundation Fellowship, the Paul Kayser International Fellowship, and the Research to Prevent Blindness Physician-Scientists Award. Dr. Barbara T. Ma, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine and an Assistant Attending Physician at New York Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Ma graduated with B.S. in Biomedical Engineering and M.S. in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University. She received her medical degree from New York Medical College. She completed her internal medicine training at Georgetown University Hospital and fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medicine, where she also served as a chief fellow. Dr. Ma cares for patients with skin cancers, including melanoma. Her research focus is optimizing immunotherapy treatments for solid tumor patients with special interest on immunotherapy toxicities. She heads the Phase I unit and leads Cellular Therapy for Solid Tumors at Cornell. Dr. Ma is a recipient of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Conquer Cancer Foundation Young Investigator Award. She is a member of American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), Golden Humanism Honor Society (GHHS), and Society for Immunotherapy and Translational Research in Cancer.

Samuel H. Selesnick, M.D., F.A.C.S. is Professor and Vice Chair of the Department of Otolaryngology and Professor of Otolaryngology in Neurological Surgery at the Weill Cornell Medical College, and is a member of the Department of Neurological Surgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.Dr. Selesnick is the Editor-in-Chief of The Laryngoscope, which is the oldest and largest otolaryngology peer reviewed journal.Dr. Selesnick is aPast President of the American Otological Society andis a Past President of the American Neurotology Society, the largest specialty organization of neurotologists - skull base surgeons in the United States.Dr. Selesnick is the General Secretary of the International Society for Otology (The Politzer Society).Neurotology encompasses lateral skull base surgery for tumors such as vestibular schwanommas (acoustic neuromas), meningiomas,epidermoid tumors and glomus tumors, as well as the surgical and medical treatment for patients suffering from complex ear-related problems such as hearing loss, otosclerosis, cholesteatoma and facial nerve tumors.Dr. Selesnick has lectured on neurotologic and ear related topics in the United States, France, Italy, the United Kingdom, Austria, Denmark, Spain, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Greece, Poland, Australia, Japan, Israel, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, India, the Ukraine, Canada, Brazil and MexicoDr. Selesnick has received The Certificate of Honor bestowed by The American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and has been named one of the best doctors in his field by lay publications. The second book he has co-edited was released in November 2010.At the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center, Dr. Selesnick has pioneered skull base surgery for acoustic neuromas and meningiomas as well as other skull base lesions. He has pioneered the use of lasers for the treatment of hearing loss in otosclerosis, and for the treatment of cholesteatoma, during mastoidectomy surgery and for tympanoplasty to repair tympanic membrane perforation.Dr. Selesnick received a Bachelor of Arts from Wesleyan University and graduated from the New York University School of Medicine. He completed his training in Otolaryngology at The Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital - Cornell Residency Program and went on to advanced Fellowship training in Otology, Neurotology, and Skull Base Surgery at The University of California, San Francisco.
