Dr. Raghuram “Ram” Posham is a board certified vascular and interventional radiologist in the Department of Radiology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He is an assistant professor of radiology and an attending physician at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Posham's expertise spans a broad range of minimally invasive procedures which enable him to manage and treat a wide range of conditions, from cancer care to men's and women's health. Among his clinical interests are complex portal hypertension in patients with liver disease, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men, uterine fibroids in women, and transarterial chemo and radiation therapy for hepatocellular carcinoma patients. Dr. Posham is actively involved in academic research and has made significant contributions to the field of interventional radiology. His research interests encompass trans-radial arterial access, peripheral arterial disease interventions, and complex inferior vena cava filter retrieval techniques. Through numerous peer-reviewed articles in prestigious medical journals, he has enhanced the understanding and practice of interventional radiology, earning recognition for his dedication to advancing medical knowledge. His contributions to the medical community have been recognized with various honors, including the Editor's Award for Outstanding Clinical Research at the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) 2017 Annual Scientific Meeting and the Burton Drayer Prize in Radiology and Imaging from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Posham served as chief resident in the Integrated Interventional and Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Mount Sinai Hospital. He holds an MD with Distinction in Research from the prestigious Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Additionally, he earned an MPA with a specialization in health services management from New York University's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, and a BA in economics, graduating magna cum laude from New York University's College of Arts and Science.

He subsequently completed his residency training program in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at New York-Presbyterian-Columbia and Cornell, where he served as Chief Resident. He went on to complete a bi-campus fellowship in interventional Spine and Sports Medicine at New York-Presbyterian - Columbia and Cornell. Prior to his start at Columbia, Dr. Saulle worked as an Assistant Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College where he served as Associate site Director for the Cornell Sports Medicine Fellowship. He was awarded the Faculty Teacher of the Year Award for his dedication to the education and mentorship of medical trainees of both Columbia and Cornell. Dr. Saulle is a New York Magazine SuperDoctors Rising Star in Sports Medicine (2019, 2020). He lectures to audiences at the local, national and international level and is an author of multiple journal articles and book chapters. Dr. Saulle is a current member of multiple academies and acts as a peer reviewer for the PM&R Journal and the American Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He has cared for many recreational and professional athletes, and has been a team physician for high school, college and professional sports teams. Dr. Saulle has participated in competitive sports for over twenty years and uses his personal experiences with injury to provide a unique comprehensive perspective on recovery and rehabilitation. He believes patient education is the cornerstone to successful treatment and ensures each patient understands their condition, treatment options and lifestyle modifications to optimize health and well-being. Dr. Saulle hails from Yonkers New York and enjoys a variety of sports, music, cooking and backpacking.
