Priya Katari, MD - Weill Cornell Medicine-Pediatric Allergy and Immunology

Dr. Theresa Hetzler is the Medical Director of the Resident Group Practice and the Director of Pediatric Ambulatory Care at Weill Cornell Medicine, where she is an Assiciate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics. She is also an Assistant Attending Pediatrician at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornel Medical Center. She is board certified in Pediatrics.Dr. Hetzler received a B.S. in Biology at Fairfield University, and her medical degree (M.D.) at Albany Medical College. She completed her Pediatric Residency at New York Medical College/Westchester Medical Center, where she also completed a Clinical Academic General Pediatrics fellowship. Her prior leadership experience includes serving as Medical Director of the Pediatric Care Clinic at Westchester Medical Center and Pediatric Program Director of the pediatric residency program at New York Medical College/Maria Fareri Childrens Hospital.In addition to her commitment to patient care, Dr. Hetzler is dedicated to education and advocacy. Since 1992, she has been involved with teaching medical students and pediatrics in the outpatient setting. She is a member of the Academic Pediatric Association (APA) and served as the Regional Research Chair for the Continuity Research Network (CORNET) from 2004 to 2015 and is presently the Co-Chair of the APA Continuity Special Interest Group. Dr. Hetzler has participated in the Vermont Childrens Health Improvement Program, National Partnerships for Adolescent Immunization, and several CORNET research projects and quality improvement programs.

Adriana Perez, M.D., M.S. is an assistant professor of pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medicine. She is also an attending pediatrician at New York Presbyterian Komansky Children’s Hospital. She is board-certified in General Pediatrics and board-eligible in Pediatric Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology. She earned her M.D. degree at the 3rd Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic in 2011. Afterwards, she spent several years working as clinical researcher and translational scientist. She studied the effects of platelet clotting at NYU Langone Medical Center, newborn sepsis at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and diagnostic improvements of fatty liver disease in children at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore. Dr. Perez completed pediatric residency in Medisys Health Network (Flushing Hospital and Jamaica Hospital Medical Center) in New York followed by three-year fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore. During her fellowship, she received her M.S. degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Clinical Research Methods. Passionate about liver disease, Dr. Perez completed advanced fellowship in Pediatric Transplant Hepatology at Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia.
