Established in 1953, the Maynard Fire Department offers a range of fire protection and suppression and prehospital care services. It serves the residents of the Maynard Fire District in Marcy in New York. The department's facilities feature a meeting hall, kitchen, recreation room, office, storage space and bays. It maintains a fleet of emergency vehicles. The Maynard Fire Department operates more than 25 self-contained breathing apparatus under the Scott Pack brand. It manages a variety of equipment, including a heart defibulator, inhalator resuscitator and extrication tool. The department also operates Squad 6, which transports manpower to emergency scenes and controls traffic on roads and highways. It additionally provides disaster and trauma management and cardiac monitoring services. The Maynard Fire Department is a New York State Department of Health certified paramedic agency.
