I went here when I was a kid and wish I was going as an adult but am far away and probably not as indestructible as I once was. A great place with a great sensei namesake.

Oishi Judo Club, founded in 1969 by Shiro Oishi, is one of the oldest active judo clubs in New York City. Sensei Oishi, an 8th degree black belt and accomplished champion, continues to teach classes and give private lessons at the club.
The club welcomes visitors and guests to watch classes at no charge, with COVID requirements in place such as wearing masks and signing waivers. With a focus on both adult and children's classes, Oishi Judo Club offers a traditional and disciplined approach to the martial art of judo.

Amazing atmosphere. It's like having a family away from home. Sensei Andrew pushes you without breaking you. Very good dojo. Always kept in a comfortable space.
