North Shore Animal League America is one of the largest animal rescue and adoption organizations in the world. Established in 1944, it maintains the Alex Lewyt Veterinary Medical Center, which performs more than 11,000 neuter procedures. The organization provides adoption counseling, training and foster care services for cats and dogs. North Shore Animal League America maintains an online store that offers toys, collars, leashes, tags, books, accessories, pillows and floor mats. The organization additionally accepts donations. It maintains the Pet Health Center, which provides X-ray, oral surgery, and teeth cleaning and polishing services. North Shore Animal League America provides online tips on pet training and grooming. It has a partnership with Red Roof Inn.
