Nyack Hospital Recovery Center is a comprehensive program offering detoxification, inpatient and outpatient services. The center takes a holistic approach to the disease of addiction, looking at how the social, cultural and economic aspects of people s lives influence their addiction. The goal of the program is recovery, healing and helping the patient obtain a higher quality of life. The center treats nearly 25 inpatients and 150 outpatients ranging in age from 18 to senior citizens and coming from many cultures and every socioeconomic stratum. Most patients are addicted to both alcohol and other drugs in varying degrees. Each patient, whether an inpatient or outpatient, is given a program tailored to his or her individual needs.
