Everytime I walk in here I feel at home. I love the feel of walking into a comic book store and having a good conversation and just looking around and at Long Island Comics I get to do that....

LONG ISLAND COMICS has been in business since March 15, 1977. Originally known as "The Batcave", the store changed its name to L. I. COMICS in 1982. Owner Frank Verzyl has been collecting comics since 1959, and is listed as an advisor to the Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide. We carry a huge stock of both vintage and new comic books ( over 150, 000 back issues in stock ), and we will try to help you hunt down whatever hard-to-find back issues you may be looking for. We also carry a complete line of hi-quality comics collector's supplies ( 4 different sizes of comic book bags & boards, and storage boxes in 3 different widths and lengths ). Long Island Comics carries all the brand new releases from Marvel DC, Image, Dark Horse and the alternate press companies. If we don't normally stock a title you want, we'll special order it for you! Take advantage of our FREE New Comics Reserve system and have all of your favorite new titles reserved for you each week in advance!

Lots of dollar comics. They are alphabetized so it's easy to find a book quickly. Rest of the store is a bit crowded with many new books stacked everywhere. Hours every day except Monday.

Long Island Comics is a true comic book shop for the true fan! Frank, the owner, does not waste his time nor store space to anything that is not a comic book, so you won't find any role playing...

There's a reason Frank has been in business for this many years. Possessing an infinite patience for difficult customers, and one of the best selections anywhere, this is THE store to visit on...

You don't see a lot of shops with a vintage feel like this one. It's a small place but full of boxes of old, classic comics. Got a great deal on a book that would normally cost a lot more anywhere...
