Cornell Cooperative Extension is a tax-exempt educational system, including regional specialists, county educators, volunteer leaders, campus-based faculty members and support staff members. The organization mentors The Consumer Education Program for Residential Energy Efficiency, which is environment conservation program that involves the Department of Environmental Design and Analysis and the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority.
