Dr. Khan began his training in Texas, earning his undergraduate degree summa cum laude with honors from Baylor University and then completing his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine. He then pursued an internship in General Surgery at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, followed by Ophthalmology residency and Vitreoretinal Surgery fellowship at Weill Cornell Medical College. Dr. Khan served as chief resident during his residency at Weill Cornell, reflecting his leadership and expertise. After his fellowship training in Vitreoretinal Surgery he was recruited to join the faculty at the Weill Cornell Medical College where he serves as Associate Professor of Ophthalmology.Dr. Khan’s clinical focus includes complex vitreoretinal surgeries and the treatment of age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment and more. His research spans retinal imaging and bioinformatics, and he participates in clinical trials within ophthalmology and retina. He has been involved in numerous studies and has authored over 30 scientific publications. Dr. Khan has delivered lectures nationally and continues to participate in vitreoretinal surgery conferences worldwide to further advance the field.
