Founded in 1930, King Kullen is a supermarket chain. The company is recognized by the Smithsonian Institute as America's first supermarket. It offers a snack bar, cafeteria and dry cleaning facility. King Kullen operates pharmacy, produce, bakery, deli, seafood, grocery, floral and meat departments. Its bakery department offers cakes for a variety of occasions, including birthdays, anniversaries, communions, bar and bat mitzvahs, graduation ceremonies, bridal and baby showers, confirmations, weddings, home warmings and holidays. In addition, King Kullen has an independent subsidiary, Wild by Nature, which is a full-service natural food marketplace.
