Her practice is based on compassionate high quality patient focused family centered care grounded in evidence-based medicine. Her passion lies in solving complicated medical conundrums. Her areas of expertise include congenital infections (especially congenital CMV and herpes infections), bone and joint infections, skin and soft tissue infections, pneumonia, fever of unknown origin, HIV, tuberculosis, travel medicine. Dr. John recently received an NIH grant to manage congenitally infected CMV newborns with NYP Brooklyn Methodist Hospital being designated as one of the Wadsworth Center Infectious Disease Specialty Care Center.
