Dr. Canaani received his MD from The University of Tel Aviv School of Medicine followed by residency in Internal Medicine at The Tel Aviv Medical Center, and laboratory research at the Weizmann Institute of Science. He completed a clinical fellowship in hematology/oncology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and subsequently served as the director of the Adult Leukemia Program of The Sheba Medical Center. He is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Weill Cornell Medicine caring for patients with blood cancers as part of the NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Brooklyn.

Dr. O'Connor worked as a teaching attending physician at Catholic Medical Center for 15 years, during which time he had the opportunity to share his orthopedic skills and knowledge with the generation of orthopedic surgeons. Dr. O'Connor is board certified in orthopedic surgery and a member of the American Academy of Orthopedics Surgeons, New York State Orthopedic Society, Brooklyn Orthopedic Society , and the Medical Society of the State of New York. He is fluent in English and Spanish.

Liana J. Tedesco, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon and Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery specializing in operative and non-operative treatments of acute and chronic hand and upper extremity conditions. She treats both adult and pediatric patients, with a special interest in the sports-related hand, wrist, and elbow injuries. Dr. Tedesco completed her medical education at Tufts University School of Medicine where she was the President of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. After medical school, Dr. Tedesco completed her residency training at the New York Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center, serving as Chief Resident during her final year. Her residency training was followed by a fellowship training in hand surgery at the NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital, where she obtained additional training in microsurgery and nerve repair/reconstruction. Dr. Tedesco is also an active member of the academic orthopedic community. She is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, the American Association for Hand Surgery, the Ruth Jackson Orthopedic Society, and the American Orthopaedic Association, where she was elected as an emerging leader. During residency, Dr. Tedesco served as the Chair of the AAOS Resident Assembly, a position to which she was elected by her peers. Dr. Tedesco is passionate about the development of young leaders in the orthopedic community through mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows.
