JHS School-Based Health Center

Sarah Reed Children s Center, located in Erie, Pa., serves people with developmental disabilities and mental illnesses. It provides a wide range of services that include long- and short-term assistance, vocational, emergency shelter, mental health and case management services. The organization provides psychiatric and psychological evaluations, medication assessment and management, parental education and support counseling, and therapeutic recreation and skill-building activities. It offers a wide range of programs, including group exercises, camps and sports activities. The center also organizes various programs for children suffering from child abuse, foster placement and psychiatric problems. It additionally organizes camps and school programs, such as group discussions, drug and alcohol prevention seminars, and child and money management programs. The center offers 24-hour health care services.
