GOLES--Good Old Lower East Side

Good Old Lower East Side (GOLES) is a neighborhood housing and preservation organization that has been dedicated to serving the Lower East Side of Manhattan since 1977. Focused on empowering low- and moderate-income residents, particularly people of color, GOLES engages the community through direct services, public education, and grassroots organizing.

The organization's work encompasses key areas such as housing, land use, disaster preparedness, environmental resiliency, healthy aging, and job readiness. By addressing interrelated issues, GOLES strives to foster a supportive and sustainable community for its residents south of 14th Street, east of 4th Avenue, and down to the Brooklyn Bridge.
