Friends Without A Border is a non-profit organization founded by photographer Kenro Izu in 1994, dedicated to providing free and compassionate healthcare to children in Southeast Asia. They have built two pediatric teaching hospitals, including the Lao Friends Hospital for Children, which is the sole provider of high-quality healthcare for children in northern Laos.
Driven by the belief that no parent should have to watch their child die due to lack of funds, Friends Without A Border strives to make a difference in the lives of these children who have nowhere else to turn for medical care.
