Friends of the Little Ausable River Trail

The Town of Peru has developed the Little Ausable River Trail, a chip-seal paved path designed to provide residents and visitors with opportunities for various outdoor activities amidst a scenic natural environment. This trail not only promotes healthy living but also preserves and interprets significant historic sites, including Heyworth Mason Park and a section of the historic D&H rail line.

Starting from Heyworth Mason Park, the trail spans 1.25 miles to the entrance of Sullivan Park on Route 22, offering a loop that showcases diverse landscapes such as cottonwood trees, planted pine forests, and open fields along the river.
