Eustatia is a historic brick house located in Beacon, New York, overlooking the Hudson River. Built in 1867 in the High Victorian Gothic style by architect Frederick Clarke Withers, it remains largely intact with period details and original exterior appearance.
The house, named after Eustatia Island in the British Virgin Islands, is a rare survival of a cottage in Beacon and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. With influences from architect Andrew Jackson Downing, Eustatia showcases polychromatic enrichment and retains the form and reserve of many of Downing's designs.
