Dr. Erik Wang is a fellowship-trained interventional pain physician and anesthesiologist.He was born in Stony Brook, NY and grew up in Naperville, IL in the Chicago suburbs. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in biology at the University of Chicago. He went on to complete his medical education at the University of Illinois Chicago. He completed his intern year in general surgery at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago and subsequently switched to anesthesiology residency and completed his training at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. He then went on to complete a Tri-Institutional Pain Fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, Hospital for Special Surgery and Memorial Sloan Kettering.His clinical practice includes outpatient and inpatient interventional pain management, chronic pain consultation, general anesthesia, and obstetric anesthesia. As an Assistant Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology, he is actively involved in resident and fellow education.
