Edelman Leather

Teddy & Arthur Edelman makes leather furniture exclusively for architects and interior designers. The Edelman line consists of more than 50 different upholstery and floor leathers in 600 different colors. The company uses only full grain aniline-dyed cowhides and calfskins from small southern European farms. All leathers are made in the company s factory in upstate New York, where custom coloring and hand finishing are standard. In 1954, the Edelmans became a major supplier of leather to the fashion industry. With Andy Warhol designing and creating the company s graphics, it won the Coty Award and the Neiman-Marcus Award in the 1960s. Headquartered in New Milford, Conn., Teddy & Arthur Edelman maintains proprietary all-leather showrooms in New York City, Chicago, Dallas and Dania Beach, Fla. It also has a presence through independent distributors in nearly every major city in the United States, as well as London, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Turkey and Australia.
