It is our mission to give the citizens of Dix Hills, and those who pass through it, the best service and protection available. The department's approximately 150 volunteer members accomplish these goals through constant training and a continually progressive attitude. Our membership consists of Firefighters, basic and advanced Emergency Medical Technicians, and Fire Police. We operate out of 3 fire stations, and handle over 800 fire and 1, 600 medical emergencies each year.
