The center is open Monday through Friday from 7am until 5:30pm and offers a variety of programming for children ages 8 weeks to 12 years old. Families may choose to utilize the center on a part-time or full-time basis. The center is licensed by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services and complies with the regulations established by that agency for the operation of child day care centers. Our program is based on the practices and activities that are developmentally appropriate for children of each age group. We follow a child-centered philosophy to promote the education, growth and development of the whole child. Each child is cared for according to his/her individual needs, personality and abilities. The center upholds the standard of quality set for early childhood programs by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and the American Montessori Society (AMS.) Lessons based on Montessori methods and materials are presented to preschool children ages 3 to 6.
