Everyone who worked there was super friendly. The art exhibit was fantastic. Dia Chelsea is always free so this is definitely a great value. When you walk in, you have to check in on the right....

this is a nice gallery! the art work was a bunch of work by Chryssa & New York. very cool stuff. lots of big neon sculptures and paintings. very nice staff and clean bathrooms too.

Foundation For Contemporary Arts

Founded in 1963, Foundation for Contemporary exhibitions and sales of works donated by the visual artists. Based in New York, N.Y. the foundation offers nonrestrictive grants to individuals working in performance art, music/sound and the visual art. It supports its grant programs through the sale of artists' works and through direct financial contributions. The Foundation for Contemporary provides grants in five categories, including dance, music/sound, performance art/theater, poetry and the visual arts. It also offers semester-long and summer internships to undergraduate and graduate students.
