Dr. Irina Kogan is a well-respected and experienced neurologist providing patients in Midwood and throughout Brooklyn and New York City with skilled, patient-centered care for an array of conditions and diseases. As a general neurologist with special interests in clinical neurophysiology, neuromuscular disorders and epilepsy and advanced skills in diagnostics and intraoperative monitoring, Dr. Kogan offers patients state-of-the-art care for conditions including headaches, tinnitus, tremors, dizziness and vertigo, numbness, sleeping disorders and more.Dr. Kogan is committed to providing each patient with an unparalleled level of care, offering diagnostic and treatment services that are focused on the individual patient for the best possible outcomes.After completing her bachelor's degree in neurobiology at Long Island University, Dr. Kogan earned her medical degree from the Ross University School of Medicine, followed by a residency in neurology at the State University of New York, Upstate Medical University, and an internship at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn. She completed a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology, gaining in-depth experience in electromyography (EMG) and electroencephalography (EEG), followed by a fellowship in epilepsy and intraoperative monitoring at Weill Cornell Medical College.In addition to her private practice, Dr. Kogan is an attending physician at Lutheran Medical Center and holds an academic appointment at Weill Cornell Medical College where she serves as clinical instructor of neurology. Committed to advancing her knowledge and skills in neurology, she maintains active memberships in several medical societies, including the American Academy of Neurology and Neurophysiology, the American Epilepsy Society, the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Medicine and the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society.Dr. Kogan welcomes new patients at her practice on Kings Highway, accepting most major medical insurance plans.
