History

Colonial Arms Apartments is located across the street from one of the oldest Historical Churches in the State of New York, The First Reformed Church (Est. 1680). When Colonial Arms was first established, it was one of the most well known, high class hotels in the area at the time. The patrons who stayed at the hotel fell in love with the Colonial Arms Hotel and The Historical Stockade District so much that when they came to stay, they never wanted to leave. The owners of the Colonial Arms Hotel at the time were so inspired by the admiration of their patrons, which is what gave them the idea of converting it into an apartment complex. Even today, there are tenants who have lived at Colonial Arms Apartments for over 20 years and are still living there today because they love the building and the Historic Stockade District so much.
