Located in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., Poughkeepsie Day School was founded in 1934. The school s academic curriculum includes English, history, science, mathematics, language arts, physical education and social studies. It offers education to students of prekindergarten through grade 12 through lower, middle and upper schools. The school offer classes in several foreign languages, including French, Spanish and Russian. It provides several central study courses in a wide range of topics, such as performing arts, religion, spirituality, teaching, civil rights, outdoor leadership and community action. The school has various facilities, including a theater, dressing rooms, classrooms, gymnasium and laboratories. Poughkeepsie Day School offers several sports, such as volleyball, basketball, tennis, football, soccer and baseball.
