McIntosh Box & Pallet, founded in 1961, opened its plant in Bernhards Bay, N.Y. in 1971, when the current assembly area was built to enable the automated production of commodity pallets. Since that time, the plant has been expanded to more than 35,000-square-feet. In 1987, the company purchased Dahn Crating Company in Rome, N.Y., to support business opportunities in the Mohawk Valley.
