Dr. Christine Rohde is the Chief of the Division of Plastic Surgery at Columbia. She graduated from Harvard Medical School in 2000. Following her medical school education, she began her general surgery training at the Brigham and Womens Hospital in Boston. After three years of general surgery training, Dr. Rohde accepted a plastic and reconstructive surgery residency position at Montefiore Medical Center. Interested in microsurgery, Dr. Rohde completed a microsurgical fellowship at New York University Medical Schools Institute of Reconstructive and Plastic Surgery in 2006. Her research focuses primarily on outcomes of plastic surgical interventions, particularly as they relate to cancer reconstruction and post-surgical care. In 2013, Dr. Rohde graduated from the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health with a Masters in Public Health, focusing on comparative effectiveness research.A highly skilled clinician, researcher and teacher, Dr. Rohde is trained in the diagnosis and treatment of the full range of plastic reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, specializing in microsurgery, abdominal wall reconstruction, body contouring, cosmetic surgery, and breast, trauma, and cancer reconstruction. She has numerous publications and presentations in the field of plastic surgery, and is a frequently-requested speaker. She has also been seen on the Carol Alt FoxNews Show, A Healthy You and WABC, discussing her research and breast cancer reconstruction.

June Y. Hou, MD is an Associate Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the Columbia University Medical Center. Dr. Hou received her undergraduate degree at Yale College with Honors, and completed medical school at Georgetown University School of Medicine. After completing her residency training at Yale New Haven Hospital, she pursued a gynecologic oncology fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology, and also has a Master Degree of Business Administration from Columbia Business School. She joins the faculty at Columbia University Medical Center with a research interest in promoting equity and diversity in clinical trials, and quality of life measures in clinical trial participants. Her clinical interest encompasses expanding awareness of heredity gynecological cancers and access to care, along with clinical outreach. A past recipient of a career development grant focusing on molecular pathogenesis of ovarian cancer and rare uterine cancers, Dr. Hou has given numerous nationally-recognized presentations based on her work, and has led numerous clinical trials. Clinically, Dr. Hou is certified in minimally invasive surgery, including robotic-assisted surgery. Her expertise includes novel and traditional chemotherapeutics and complex pelvic surgeries. Her goal is to provide compassionate and individualized care to all women with pre-malignant or gynecological cancers.

Thomas A. Imahiyerobo, MD

A native of Boston, Massachusetts, Dr. Imahiyerobo received his B.A. from Harvard University where he graduated with Honors, cum laude. After also receiving his M.D. from Harvard Medical School, Dr. Imahiyerobo entered the combined Plastic Surgery Residency at New York Presbyterian/Columbia and New York Presbyterian/ Weill Cornell. During his residency, Dr. Imahiyerobo was the recipient of numerous honors and awards, including the Dicran Goulian award for academic excellence in Plastic Surgery, as well as the Weill Cornell Alumni Council award for Distinguished House Staff. During his final year of residency Dr. Imahiyerobo served as chief resident in Plastic Surgery and was recognized by New York Presbyterian Hospital for his outstanding patient care. Dr. Imahiyerobo’s areas of expertise include the treatment of cleft lip, cleft palate, craniosynostosis, frontal facial advancement and orthognathic (jaw) surgery. He also specializes in the care of adult cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the head and neck. He helps lead the Craniofacial Center at Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital, where he is committed to providing comprehensive, cutting-edge, compassionate care to patients of all ages with craniofacial differences. He has completed additional training in Craniofacial and Pediatric Plastic Surgery during his fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. While there, he was an integral part of one of the largest cleft and craniofacial teams in the country. Dr. Imahiyerobo is the author of numerous academic publications. He has been a speaker at national meetings of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, The American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the Plastic Surgery Research Council. In 2014 he was awarded the prestigious Gaspar Anastasi Award for best presentation during the Resident and Fellows Forum at the meeting of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. His current research interest includes the use of innovative approaches to treat global midface hypoplasia and severe Class III malocclusion. He is also focused on outcomes research for cleft lip and palate surgery, as well as the effects of craniosynostosis on pediatric cognitive development.
