HistoryDuring my Fellowship in Holistic Health at NYU Langone Medical Center, providing and teaching patients stress relief and relaxation techniques, I was often asked if they could make an appointment to see me when they were discharged. I would respond no, that I didn't provide that service. Yet upon examination of community programs and practices there are very few that provide these particular services or have the professional background that I do as a Nurse Practitioner. So I began my practice in Great Neck, supported by local professionals who believe in my work and by direct referral from the general public; parents and students. I like to say that is not psychiatry or psychology.
