HistoryWe here at Innovators Camp wanted to create a space where campers could bridge the gap between virtual reality, and just plain reality. Technologies such as robotics, drones, 3-D printing and graphic design are the direction in which the world is moving, so it is crucial that children learn these skills in order to compete. It is also important, however, that practical, hands-on skills such as farming, woodworking, art and collaboration are not lost. Our curriculum is based on the STEAM model of education. Science, Tech, Engineering, Art & Design, Math. For quite some time it has been known that the STEM portion of this is the way of the future and thus, is what our children should be learning. But STEM is missing something imperative, namely Art & Design. Art, Design, creativity and the appreciation of these things is something that computers will not be able to surpass humans in, making it a necessary skill of us to retain, refine and pass on to the next generation.SpecialtiesWe are a Summer Camp option for future innovators in the Hamptons.
