Even women not facing cancer have a need to preserve their fertility due to the natural decline in fertility with advancing age. Dr. Schattman has extensive expertise in caring for patients who are considering preserving or extending their fertility by freezing eggs or embryos. Egg or embryo freezing is an option for women in a wide range of circumstances, including those who may have difficulty getting pregnant after cancer treatment (oncofertility). At our center, we have many years of experience with egg and embryo freezing–in fact, we are one of the pioneering centers in the country – and we can provide these treatment options to patients with little or no delay.Reproductive Surgery Dr. Schattman is a world-class reproductive surgeon, who is a leader in minimally invasive surgery. One of the first gynecologic surgeons to perform robotic surgery for reversal of tubal ligation and excision of uterine fibroids, Dr. Schattman is particularly experienced in the use of advanced surgical methods to treat common causes of infertility such as blocked fallopian tubes, intrauterine adhesions, endometriosis and ovarian cysts. In addition to treating infertility, Dr. Schattman also uses minimally invasive surgical techniques to treat gynecologic conditions like abnormal uterine bleeding and uterine malformations. Education and ExperienceDr. Schattman earned a B.S. in 1983 from St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York, and his M.D. in 1987 from the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center, in Brooklyn, New York. He completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at The George Washington University Medical Center in 1991 followed by a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Weill Cornell Medical College/NY Presbyterian Hospital that he completed in 1993. Dr. Schattman joined the Cornell faculty in 1993 and is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.Dr. Schattman has received many awards during his career for his achievements clinically as well as for teaching, and is the proud recipient of the APGO National Faculty Award for teaching. Testament to his clinical acumen, Dr. Schattman served for 5 years (2004-2009) as Chair of the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART) Practice Committee, the professional body that produces the guidelines and principles by which its members practice Reproductive Medicine. In 2011, Dr. Schattman was elected and served as the President of SART, the leading association of in vitro fertilization physicians. He is currently the Vice-President of the International Society of Ferti.lity Preservation and the Chairperson for the Alliance for Fertility Preservation. Dr. Roniel Weinberg is Board Certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine from the American Board of Anesthesiology. His medical philosophy is to place the patient first; he feels that it is his honor to serve as the patient's physician. As such, he uses the most up to date research to individualize treatment plans for each patient. He places compassion and caring at the forefront in his approach to treating patients. Dr. Weinberg splits his time between the treatment of chronic pain, acute pain and anesthesia, where he focuses on regional and obstetrical anesthesia. He has a particular interest in the integration of regional anesthesia and multimodal techniques to treat acute and post-operative pain. In addition, he has a special interest in assessing and treating chronic pain of the low back, neck, joints, and muscles. He offers expertise in providing a wide range of treatment modalities, including non-invasive laser therapy and the newest interventional techniques. He places a unique focus on the use of non-narcotic techniques and medications when appropriate and possible. He has recently started to integrate ultrasound guided techniques towards the treatment of chronic pain.Dr. Weinberg works towards developing a comprehensive plan for the treatment of his patients' pain via collaboration with the Weill Cornell Departments of Neurosurgery, Neurology, Orthopedic Surgery, Psychiatry and Rehabilitative Medicine, as well as the patient's primary care physician.Prior to joining the faculty at Weill Cornell Medical College in 2008, Dr. Weinberg completed the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital Tri-Institute Pain Fellowship Program: Weill Cornell Medical College, Hospital for Special Surgery, and Memorial-Sloan Kettering. He finished his residency in anesthesiology at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Medical College in 2007 and received his Medical Degree from New York University School of Medicine in 2002.

Dr. Tina M. Ceriello is a Clinical Audiologist in the Hearing and Speech Center, Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, at Weill Cornell Medicine, New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Ceriello received her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from the Graduate Center at the City University of New York and obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the College of Saint Rose. Dr. Ceriello is licensed in Audiology through the New York State Department of Education and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA). She presently maintains membership in ASHA.Dr. Ceriello completed her Audiology Residency at Weill Cornell Medicine. Her clinical expertise includes diagnosis of pediatric and adult hearing loss, otoacoustic emission (OAE) testing, vestibular/balance assessment, and audiologic rehabilitation including fitting and management of amplification.
