Dr. Chabot is a beloved and revered pancreatic cancer surgeon, and founder of the Pancreas Center at Columbia/NewYork-Presbyterian. Established in 2006, the Pancreas Center is one of the largest and most effective clinical cancer programs in the world, as well as a transformative research center where scientific discovery leads to trials of new pancreatic cancer therapies. Under Dr. Chabot’s leadership, the Pancreas Center has grown from an informal collaboration to a comprehensive faculty of clinical specialists and scientific and translational researchers. This team now includes three full-time medical oncologists and numerous specialists who support pancreatic patient needs, as well as 13 different full- and part-time laboratories dedicated to pancreas cancer research—more than at any other academic medical center. Dr. Chabot is the David V. Habif Professor of Surgery, chief of hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB) surgery, and served as vice president of ColumbiaDoctors for many years. He is known for the close rapport he builds with his patients. A highly-regarded surgeon, he has performed more than 2,500 Whipple procedures—a complex operation to remove pancreatic tumors—and participated in many surgical advances that have steadily improved pancreatic cancer outcomes.Dr. Chabot arrived at Columbia/NewYork-Presbyterian in 1983 as an intern. From intern, resident, and fellow to professor, mentor, and director of the Pancreas Center, he has spent his entire career at Columbia/NewYork-Presbyterian, building an intimate understanding of the culture and practice of medicine and surgery. He sits on the scientific advisory board of LetsWin! Pancreatic Cancer and remains singularly committed to the goal of preventing, treating, and curing pancreatic cancer.

Vincent Duron, MD is Co-Director of Fetal Therapy, Director of Minimally Invasive Surgery, and Director of Pediatric Trauma and Surgical Critical Care. He practices the full spectrum of pediatric general surgery. He is an expert in minimally invasive surgery, specializing in surgery for congenital anomalies, biliary atresia, lung anomalies, and pectus excavatum. He performs fetal surgery for various conditions, including fetoscopic repair of myelomeningocele/spina bifida and fetoscopic endoluminal tracheal occlusion (FETO) for congenital diaphragmatic hernia. Dr. Duron is a well-funded surgeon-scientist. His research focuses on fluid optimization for critically ill children and fetal and neonatal diagnostics and surgery. He has received multiple research and teaching awards and is a frequently invited speaker, author, and reviewer. He is dedicated to global health and regularly returns to Iquitos, Peru, to train local surgeons in pediatric surgery.

Dr. Joseph P. Alukal is The Andrew Sabin Family Foundation Associate Professor in the Department of Urology; he is also Director of Men's Health at Columbia/NewYork-Presbyterian and Fellowship Director in Andrology/Male Reproductive Health. He serves as the Medical Director for Access-to-Care for ColumbiaDoctors. Dr. Alukal serves in a number of roles at a national and international level for professional specialty and subspecialty organizations, including the American Urological Association (AUA), the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), and the Society for the Study of Male Reproduction (SSMR), of which he is a past-President and current Board Member. As a member of the AUA Ambassadors, he have lectured internationally to the Urologic Professional Societies of countries including India, Italy, and Bangladesh. He has authored or been a co-author on nearly 50 peer-reviewed publications and scientific book chapters and as well is the lead editor of the book "Design and Implementation of the Modern Men's Health Center." While as a fellow, he was funded by an AUA Foundation Award. Dr. Alukal currently serves at Columbia in a number of roles, including his service on the ColumbiaDoctors PO Strategy Committee. As well, he is the Clinical Director for the NYP Reproductive Tissue Bank, in addition to serving on the NYP Tissue Bank Medical Advisory Committee. He maintains a busy clinical practice in men's health, male infertility, male sexual dysfunction, and general urology and has been named to Castle Connolly's Top Doctors New York Metro Area every year since 2016. He is currently named to New York Magazine's Top Doctors 2024. He maintains extensive clinical collaborative relationships with numerous IVF centers, primary care, and cardiology practices in and around the New York City area. He has a Master’s in Business Administration from Columbia Business School.
