Dr. Alexandra LeBental was born and raised in New Jersey before completing her undergraduate studies at Washington University in St. Louis. She remained at Washington University to obtain her Master of Public Health degree with a focus on epidemiology and biostatistics. She then received her medical degree from Tulane University in New Orleans. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Temple University in Philadelphia. She was selected and served as the Administrative Chief Resident during her final year of training. She received the following awards during her tenure as resident: Recognition of Excellence in Resident Research, Recognition of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology, and Award for Excellence in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery.After completing her residency, she worked for a hospital-based faculty practice in the Bronx before joining the Weill Cornell faculty to provide excellent patient-centered care for the full range of obstetric and gynecologic care. She is board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
