Akbar K Ahmed, MD

Dr. Akbar Ahmed is a cardiologist at the Rochester Regional Health Sands-Constellation Heart Institute. Dr. Ahmed graduated from Ayub Medical College. He gained his MRCP in Internal Medicine from Royal College of Physicians London. He did his Internal Medicine residency at Unity Health System, Rochester, NY and Fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, NY. In 2014, Dr. Ahmed was awarded a PhD by University of London, UK. He joined the Sands-Constellation Heart Institute at Rochester General Hospital as an Interventional Cardiologist in 2015.
