The Southwestern Brewery and Ice Company, established in 1888 by the Rankin brothers and later owned by the Loebs, was a prominent brewery in Albuquerque known for its Glorieta Beer. Despite facing Prohibition in 1917, the company continued its ice-making operations until its closure in 1997.

Located in East Downtown near the BNSF railroad tracks, the historic brewery, built in 1899, is one of the few surviving 19th-century commercial buildings in the downtown area. Designated as a cultural property in New Mexico and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Southwestern Brewery and Ice Company holds a significant place in Albuquerque's brewing history.
