McKinley Middle School serves more than 700 students in grades six through eight. It is governed by Albuquerque Public Schools, which operates several middle, high, elementary and alternative schools. The school s curriculum includes language arts, math, social studies and science. McKinley Middle School also offers elective courses in art, technology education, band and orchestra. It operates a parent-teacher organization that coordinates fundraising events and other school welfare activities. The school also offers the English as a Second Language program. In addition, McKinley Middle School administers special education and gifted and talented education programs.
