I believe that as a breast cancer surgeon, it is my job to educate patients about their diagnosis and treatment options and also about coping strategies to manage this challenging time in her life. This empowers women to navigate their care with confidence. Regardless of disease stage and treatment plan, I stay involved in my patients’ care throughout treatment- up to and beyond surgery. I was first drawn to breast surgery because it is one in which I can develop on-going meaningful relationships with my patients and this is still the aspect of my work that I am most passionate about today.
