S.T. Allen Realty was started from humble beginnings by Samuel T. Allen Sr. migrated North from his family's farm to pursue the American Dream. After years of working, and studying and saving his money he finally was able to open S.T. Allen Realty in 1945 with the hope of assisting returning G.I.'s with their housing needs. Sam however wanted to differentiate himself from the rest of the Realtors by establishing a one stop Real Estate Firm. As a FHA-VA Appraiser, Insurance Broker, Property Manager he was capable of satisfying his customers need. He also assisted them in obtaining financing He loved his community. This was demonstrated through his community building activities and his insistence that local community leaders help build and maintain a quality of life standard for housing in the community. He also assisted the Religious Community to invest in property. Sam lived by the Golden Rule, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". He was a member of numerous community and charitable organizations. His Faith was his strength! After his death in 1974 his daughter Kathryn Allen Curry took on her fathers' vision to expand the company by incorporating the latest real estate technology in the industry to service our clients. She expanded the company and opened an additional office in Newark where her brother and nephew, Samuel T. Allen Jr. and Samuel T. Allen III, and her daughter, Debra Curry all worked. She increased the office staff and hired 5 brokers averaging 25 years experience to assist in the servicing of the company's clients. S.T.
