Jordan Werner, MD is a member of Summit Health's Orthopedics team. Dr. Werner treats adults who are experiencing pain and decreased function due to joint issues. As an orthopedic surgeon he performs hip and full and partial knee replacement surgery to treat arthritis and other pain issues, using technologies including navigation and robotics.Dr. Werner is highly skilled in anterior hip replacement surgery, a newer and more technically demanding approach that can be more muscle-sparing and offer faster recovery for eligible patients. He is also well-versed in posterior hip replacement surgery, a more common approach.By getting to know his patients as well as their needs and goals, Dr. Werner tailors treatment with an eye toward not only expedient and complete recovery, but also recovery that will serve best in the long term. Conservative approaches are considered and applied when possible, and regardless of treatment Dr. Werner most enjoys helping his patients feel better. Nothing makes me happier than giving people their function back, he says.In his free time, Dr. Werner enjoys spending time with his wife and family and traveling. He is a huge sports fan who also enjoys watching and playing baseball, basketball, football, golf, and tennis.
