Siriade Filipe-Izaguirre, DO, specializes in family medicine and osteopathic manipulative treatment. Dr. Filipe-Izaguirre has worked with patients from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds in private practice and academic medicine. For this reason, she is sensitive to barriers to health care access that some patients face.Dr. Filipe-Izaguirre has practiced with the Cypress Health Institute since 2014. She has been a member of the faculty at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - New Jersey Medical School Division of Academic Medicine, Geriatrics, and Community Programs. Most recently, she was an instructor for the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Department of Family Medicine and Community Health. Dr. Filipe-Izaguirre continues teaching as a volunteer faculty member at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.Dr. Filipe-Izaguirre is Former Medical Director of St. John's Family Health Center in New Brunswick. She has practiced with BGB Group and Mobile Medi Care, both located in Clark, New Jersey. She also has practiced with other New Jersey multiphysician practices focused on family practice, internal medicine, primary care, urgent care, and osteopathic principles and practices.Dr. Filipe-Izaguirre's academic interests include health care delivery systems to improve patient access for elderly and homebound patients as well as underserved populations. She has participated with community organizations that provide patient education, screenings, and medical care for underserved people in Newark and New Brunswick.Dr. Filipe-Izaguirre grew up in Newark. She says, "My family is a first-generation immigrant family that considers Newark its community." For this reason, her reintroduction to the greater Newark community as a physician has been rewarding both at a professional and personal level. She adds, "I am passionate about family medicine, treating and preventing chronic diseases, and promoting wellness.When she is not working with her patients, Dr. Filipe-Izaguirre enjoys spending time with her family, reading, praticing yoga, art, and experiencing different cultures.

Liana M. Spano-Brennan, DO, FACC, specializes in cardiology, with a particular interest in treatment and prevention of hypertension, hyperlipidemia, weight management, valvular heart disease, congestive heart failure and coronary artery disease. Dr. Spano-Brennan has a special interest in women's heart disease and detection, and evaluation of cardiovascular disease in women. Prior to joining Summit Health, she practiced in Neptune, NJ.Dr. Spano-Brennan has advanced training in echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and cardiac CT angiography. She is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
