Community Visiting Nurse

Established in 1948, the Community Visiting Nurse Association is a nonprofit health care agency. It offers a range of home care, hospice and community services. Its staff consists of nurses and physical, occupational and speech therapists. The agency specializes in pediatric care, nutritional counseling and other social services. It also offers home health aides who assist with bathing, dressing and cooking. Located in Somerville, N.J., the Community Visiting Nurse Association is certified by Medicare and Medicaid. It is also approved by the Joint commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and the Commission on Accreditation for Home Care. Additionally, the association offers volunteer opportunities for clerical projects and child health conferences.
