Andrew Wong, MD is a member of Summit Health's Radiation Oncology team. Dr. Wong has expertise in all areas of radiation oncology, including stereotactic radiosurgery, stereotactic ablative radiation therapy, image-guided radiation therapy, and brachytherapy and utilizes radiation to treat breast, gynecological, genitourinary, thoracic, head and neck, and central nervous system cancers.Dr. Wong became interested in medicine at a young age and was initially drawn to the technologies that power modern health care. As a college student in biomedical engineering, he studied the processes and components underlying our health care technologies but became much more interested in the clinical side after witnessing several close family members battle their declining health.Dr. Wong believes in and relies on evidence-based medicine, and every recommendation he makes is grounded by clinical data. However, he also greatly appreciates the art of medicine which recognizes the humanistic side of treating patients. Our patients are much more than just the diseases for which we are treating them, says Dr. Wong. I believe if you put the patient first, everything else will fall into place, and I will always do what I believe is best for them, whether that includes radiation treatment or not.Dr. Wong strives to truly understand his patients, which he believes is an essential part of developing a successful treatment plan. Hes most grateful for those moments during follow up visits where he hears about a patients successes both medical and personal.Dr. Wong has served as principal investigator for an institutional trial investigating the use of accelerated partial breast irradiation for early stage breast cancer. He has also authored or co-authored over two dozen peer-reviewed manuscripts.When not caring for patients, Dr. Wong, enjoys spending time with his wife and watching his two daughters grow. Since the start of the pandemic, they have been spending more time outdoors. He enjoys playing tennis with his family, and when he has time to himself, he enjoys reading and watching baseball and football.

Zubin M. Bamboat, MD, FACS, specializes in complex surgical oncology. He is board certified in surgery and one of only a few surgeons in the country board certified in complex surgical oncology. His research has been published in prestigious scientific journals such as Nature Medicine, The Journal of Clinical Investigation, Hepatology, and the Journal of Immunology. In 2009, he was recipient of the Chairman's Award for excellence in basic science research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, New York. In 2013, Dr. Bamboat was awarded with the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), Young Investigator Award for research on esophageal and stomach cancer.Dr. Bamboat is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the Society of Surgical Oncology, and the American Association of Cancer Research and Oncology Society of New Jersey. He was recently elected to the board of advisors for the American Cancer Society, Northwest New Jersey Chapter."I believe in getting to know each patient and their particular cancer and educating them about their illness and discussing the pros and cons of various treatment options," says Dr. Bamboat. "I believe in a team approach to treating cancer such that each patient is evaluated by a multidisciplinary group of cancer experts in order to provide the highest level of care."Dr. Bamboat is a member of a medical mission team that travels each summer to South America to perform volunteer surgery on the underserved local population. When he is not working with patients, Dr. Bamboat enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family.
