In maternal-fetal medicine, we care for two patients: the woman and the pregnancy. This involves balancing the risks and benefits to both patients. I explain complicated pregnancy issues to women and their families and help them make the best decisions for themselves, no matter what that decision is. Making these sorts of decisions is the core of reproductive choice. For me, maternal-fetal medicine is the best possible field. It's an honor to help a woman and her family navigate through a complicated pregnancy. It's a privilege to be present both for the joy of good outcomes and the grief of loss.

I have observed the devastating impact of cardiovascular disease on patients and their families. I am passionate about making a difference in my patients' healthcare experience. We'll discuss life-saving treatments and evidence-based medical therapies. My goal is to help guide my patients in making important, informed decisions to improve their cardiac health and quality of life.

I specialize in treating heart problems that are caused by the heart’s electrical system. I have always been interested in bringing order out of chaos and the electrical system is sometimes subject to the development of chaotic rhythms. Some cardiac electrical problems are dramatic. Providing treatment in those cases can be lifesaving. Many cardiac electrical problems impair a patient’s lifestyle. In those cases, effective treatment can mean a much-improved quality of life. My goal is to use my education, training and experience to determine the most effective treatment for my patients. Working with patients to improve their quality of life so they can get back to doing more of the things that make their lives fulfilling is always rewarding.
