I enjoy practicing medicine because it allows me to improve my patients' health and help them feel better. My goal is to provide innovative, evidence-based care to all of my patients, regardless of gender, race/ethnicity, or background. I strive to be friendly, approachable, and respectful to my patients. I help them feel at ease by using humor, actively listening, being empathic, and explaining things in simple terms. I help my patients understand their condition and treatment options so that they can make informed decisions about their care. Together, we collaborate to craft a treatment plan based upon their preferences and health goals.

It’s important to me that new patients feel welcomed and respected. I’m here for them, to help them make informed decisions about their health and feel their best. I want to hear their concerns, and to attend to the whole person. I truly enjoy getting to know my patients and helping them meet their health goals. I’ve always been a caregiver. I discovered I wanted to be a nurse when caring for adults with acquired brain injuries at the age of 19. More recently, I worked at Cheshire Medical Center as a nurse in family medicine before becoming a primary care provider. One of the things I love about family medicine is the diversity of care. One morning I’m doing a 2-day newborn weight check and that afternoon I’m having a conversation about hospice with my patient and family members. It's rewarding getting to know families in this way and support the community I grew up in.
