When we created RiverBend Medical Group, we envisioned a healthcare practice for the real world, where people are too busy to be sick or too sick to be chasing their doctor. Today RiverBend Medical Group is the largest private physician group practice in the Pioneer Valley. 65 physicians. Five locations. Multiple specialties. Thirty years in business. Even with all that history, all those questions answered, all that time spent connecting people with the approach to care that's right for them, we still are breaking new ground. RiverBend is proud to be among the first in the region to incorporate Electronic Medical Records ( EMRs ) into our practice. By integrating scheduling, registration, and billing records with an in-depth medical record, everyone at RiverBend is able to do the job they need to do for each patient. Check-ups, screenings, follow-ups, and other important info is all tracked and brought to the attention of the caregiver who needs to know. Most importantly, EMRs free doctors from the paperwork associated with conventional patient records. This allows for more time for patient and doctor to discuss symptoms or treatment, with a computer in each exam room to provide all the background information needed to make the most informed choices. We take great pride in the outstanding medical care we provide to adults, teens and children. Our doctors are board-certified and all of our other clinicians are highly credentialed. In addition to internists and pediatricians, we have specialists in pulmonology, cardiology, behavioral health, rheumatology, dermatology, obstetrics/gynecology, oncology, radiology, general surgery, gastroenterology, chiropractic and physical therapy, and optometry. We have recently expanded our specialty services to include orthopedics, physiatry, podiatry and nuclear medicine. We give patients very easy access, with convenient locations in Chicopee, Westfield, Springfield, Agawam, and Wilbraham. We offer expanded office hours to better accommodate your busy life. Patients with urgent problems get advanced access: a same-day visit, in most cases, with their own primary care physician. RiverBend Medical Group accepts most major insurance plans, including Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Harvard Pilgrim, Tufts Health Plan, United Health Care, Health New England and many others. For inpatient services, we use Mercy Medical Center and Baystate Medical Center.
