The Te-Moak Tribe of Western Shoshone Indians is a federally recognized tribe consisting of four bands: Battle Mountain Band, Elko Band, South Fork Reservation, and Wells Band. Governed by a Tribal Council that oversees all tribal lands, the tribe has its own Constitution and conducts elections every three years for leadership positions.

Each band has its own council, with elected officials responsible for local matters, ensuring representation and governance tailored to their respective communities. The tribal community also engages in various programs, such as the Special Diabetes Program and Eyewear Program, aimed at supporting the health and well-being of its members.
