Windermere Baptist Conference Center

History

The Missouri Baptist Assembly of Churches purchased the Windermere club from a bakery in Kansas City. Arthur and Marge Koehler managed the camp for 32 years. RAs were the first campers in 1958 in primitive conditions. In the 58 + years since there has been much growth and building happening. We have chapels, greenhouses, recreation areas, the EDGE ropes course, a swimming pool, water inflatables, a mini-golf course, and hiking trails. For our guests use we have a Gift Shop, Lakeside Grill, and large boat dock. Today Windermere has lodging ranging from economy tenting and cabins to luxury lodges and family cabins with lakeside views. We can host up to 2,000 guests on our campus, and are very busy every summer. Windermere is the perfect retreat for your family reunion, deacons, Sunday School, youth, or just friends. Windermere is located in central Missouri on Lake of the Ozarks. It provides year-round full service facilities for conferences, camps, and seminars, as well as family outings and reunions. Windermere has a wide variety of conference spaces to meet your needs. It's lodging facilities range from cabins and dorms to deluxe hotel rooms. A full service dining hall provides for meal requirements. Windermere can accommodate multiple groups - up to 2,000 guests simultaneously. Windermere offers a variety of recreation activities. The EDGE is a ropes course, for recreation or team building. We also have The CAVE with guided tours. Our giant water inflatables The SPLASH are said to be the best in the nation.
